Thanks much! Hey Darren, If I remember correctly, Red Hat 8 only includes versioned libraries in there net-snmp installation. One way to verify this is to ls -l /usr/lib/libnetsnmp* and look for libnetsnmp.so or libnetsnmp.a. If it is not there, create a symbolic link to the versioned library, like: ln -s /usr/lib/libnetsnmp.so.5.0.6 /usr/lib/libnetsnmp.so Let me know if that is not the problem. I only can confirm the problem with the snmp detection. The Debian build daemons have the same detection problem: http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?arch=&pkg=mbrowse (at the end). The configure options and the installed packages are the same. I wanted to ask you if there is a way to stop the snmpwalk once initiated. It takes sometimes 5 minutes for it to finish if a large mib tree is polled for. Also, I think it would be very nice to be able to specify the location of the MIB files to load, this would be useful in an instance when a vendor issues an updated set of MIB files (with fixes, etc..) and one would want to compare the two by starting two instances of mbrowse and playing around with them before committing the changes. I would like to contribute to your project when I can. I do not know gtk+, but I am familiar with C/C++ .
